yourself.

The growth in the Diesel car market has been phenomenal over the last decade; this in turn has seen an increase in people jumping on the proverbial bandwagon with so
called Diesel Specialist Garages popping up all over the place. Believe me you do not become a genuine specialist in Diesel’s overnight.
The aim is to specialise in covering the older Diesel
systems. Although we will cover aspects of the common rail system, I think youtube just about covers everything you really need to know on the subject. And from a repair point there is not a great deal you can do without the software to communicate with the
vehicles engine management system.
With so many Diesel workshops closing worldwide and the “True” Diesel injection technicians becoming thinner on the ground, getting valuable information
on these earlier systems is becoming more difficult.
The truth is the manufacturers are just not bothered, the money is most definitely in Common rail, the investment is in Common rail. So, where
are you going to go to get your 1987 E Class or your 1959 Massey Tractor fault diagnosed, or more importantly repaired.
With typical labour rates now between £50-£80 an hour, the bill
soon ramps up when your local garage is inexperienced in repairing these types of vehicles and your left with a hefty labour bill to pay.
Should you decide to carry out your own repairs,
DIY Diesel Shop will help and advise you on how best to approach the job, this advice comes with over forty years experience in fault finding, problem solving and carrying out research and development in the UK and overseas, as well as first hand experience
of re-manufacturing thousands of Pumps and Injectors. All advice is free, however any repairs carried out are totally your responsibility and at your own risk.
Take a look at our Genuine Customer
Feedback to see what others think of the service we offer.
If we believe you are attempting to go to far in your repair we will advise accordingly, for example, we DO NOT supply nozzles for Common Rail Injectors. We would advise against any attempt to repair these, as you will never get them to operate correctly following repair, furthermore there is the safety aspect
to consider with Injectors operating to such high pressures.
On the other hand, most Injectors before common rail are easily serviceable, so if you are using too much fuel, exhaust is emitting smoke
or you have a rattling engine a new set of nozzles may be just the job.
Please email us a.d.s@europe.com with your questions or enquiries and we will respond
as quickly as possible or go to contact page and post your question.
